Diabetes is a taxing disease. Not only does the child need to check his or her blood sugar 6-12 times every day, he or she must inject insulin 4-6 times each day. This is not only mentally taxing, but costs the family $500 every month for supplies (if they have good insurance). The children with diabetes see camp as their vacation. Your support of a campership (e.g. scholarship for diabetes camp) will allow camp to serve every child living with diabetes, regardless of their parents' ability to pay the camp fee.
