This season, give THANKS for Insulin saving the life of someone you love!

2021 marks the 100 year anniversary of the discovery of insulin. This year we ask you to show your appreciation for this life-saving discovery. We all know someone who is surviving due to this life-saving hormone.

Prior to 1921 Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis was treated with a torturous starvation diet. Even with this semi-effective treatment, those who suffered with this horrible disease only survived a few grim years (at best). Today we extend gratitude to Canadian physicians Drs. Banting and Best for discovering this life-saving hormone we now know as insulin. While we recognize insulin is not a cure, it allows those with T1D to live a healthier and longer life.

Thank you!
